Easy Homemade Toffee Recipe
Marbled Toffee Ingredients:
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ½ cup chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cup white chocolate chips
- Sprinkles of choice
Toffee Recipe Directions:
Melt together butter, sugar, and water over medium-high heat until bubbly and liquid, stirring frequently for 8-10 minutes. When it begins to turn a light caramel color, remove from heat and whisk in vanilla.(If you have a candy thermometer, you can remove from heat as soon as it reaches 260 degrees)
While your toffee is cooking, generously butter a square 8×8 inch pan. (This needs to be butter and NOT nonstick spray)
Pour toffee into your pan, and top with generous alternating rows of chocolate chips and white chocolate chips.
Let sit 5 minutes, and when chocolate begins to look shiny, spread it out all over with a spatula until you have a marbled look that you like.

Impress your guests this Thanksgiving with these meal planning tips and amazing marshmallow dessert idea! Whether you’re planning your first or 20th Thanksgiving meal, here’s some ways to make it a success.
Be the Ultimate Party Planner with these Holiday Tips:
- Plan your menu in advance. There’s nothing like scrambling last-minute to put something together and not having enough ingredients on hand. A few classics to consider: Turkey or Ham, mashed potatoes and a really good dessert.
- Have a back-up. If one of your dishes falls flat before it hits the table, have a back-up plan. Buy rolls from the bakery incase you burn your crescent rolls, and buy a jar of gravy just incase your homemade version doesn’t pan out.
- Making your own pie? Prep the dough ahead of time and freeze them until needed.
- Save oven space by making some of the dishes on the stove top (or asking family/friends to bring a dish). This will keep you on track for dinner at the scheduled time.
- It’s okay to use some store-bought items. Thanksgiving is about spending time together, so don’t overwork yourself in the kitchen.
- Don’t forget appetizers. Your guests can’t wait for dinner, but smelling all those delicious meals being created in the kitchen can work up any appetite. Have a few appetizers dishes prepped and ready.
- Keep the kids busy. Have a classic movie or fun craft station prepped in another room for kids to enjoy.
- End on a high note – with a delicious dessert (like the one I’m sharing below)!

Baby Sprinkles are trending among moms-to-be. They may be so new that you haven’t heard of them just yet. These parties are for moms who are having a second, third or later child. Many times, parents have a different gender the second time around and new items are needed for their latest bundle of joy. Plus – isn’t every baby worth celebrating? I certainly think so!
This smaller version of a baby shower typically includes close friends and family and isn’t as elaborate as the first time around. It may include a few games, smaller gift items, and a few snackable foods, like the one I’m sharing with you today!

Pizzelle may be something you’ve never heard of before now. These thin Italian cookies look like waffles but are crispy like crackers. When I spotted them in my local World Market store I wasn’t sure what to do with them, but knew I wanted to try them. My dad’s side of the family originated from Sicily and grew up in New York, so I had a feeling these would bring some nostalgia to the dinner table.
By the way, pizzelles can be eaten on their own, but I thought I’d do a fun twist by making them into ice cream sandwiches. Then I added Nutella to the mix….holy yumminess batman!
Okay, so here’s what you need to pull off this incredibly easy and delicious dessert recipe.

As you know, we are big Marvel fans, so when Disney and Marvel collaborated to create the amazing Big Hero 6 movie, we were pretty ecstatic. And after my recent visit to LA to interview the film directors and voices behind Tadashi, Hiro, and Baymax – I couldn’t wait to bring home the movie for my boys. I decided to plan a fun after school adventure last Friday, complete with Baymax Rice Krispies Treats.
Once lil guy and I picked J up from school we headed to our local Walmart store to buy their exclusive Big Hero 6 gift set with bonus DVD. The entertainment department has the “new releases” stand easy accessible from the aisle. As you can see L was pretty excited to have the movie in his hands. We also picked up the ingredients needed to make our fun Baymax treats.

I am a World Market Ambassador. I’ve teamed up with WM for this sponsored opportunity. All opinions are my own.
As a World Market Ambassador, I get a heads up on what new trends are coming to stores. The Americana beach theme mirrored the decor I was selecting for the new home that we are building. Before I share all of the fun decor I picked up at World Market, I wanted to share this Strawberry Lemon Mini Bundt Cake recipe. Because what good is a party without food, right? 🙂 I was waiting in anticipation to shop the deals at World Market and create a fun Americana Beach Party for our family.
Buying a home can be a mix of emotions. Often things do not work out as planned and cause setbacks. Although that is the case in our situation, I still wanted to make the most of our family’s next chapter. With the help of my step-mom we planned a pre-celebratory party at her home.
These Mini Stars & Stripes Bundt Cakes are a great addition to an Americana Beach Party.
