Pizza night happens on a weekly basis around here. A lot of times we order-in or do a frozen pizza, but I wanted to branch out and try something new: dessert grilled pizza! So this week I picked up Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust and some interesting topping choices to create a fun dessert pizza.

I am known for having a pretty big sweet tooth. I tend to have something chocolately before the day is through, to get my “fix”. So when unexpected company stops by and ends up sticking around for dinner, you can bet they count on dessert afterwards.
Sometimes we have cookies or ice cream. However if I really want to impress my guests, while not baking for hours, I have the option of Private Selection Upside Down Cakes. It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3! Private Selection Upside Down Cakes are gourmet desserts that you just warm, flip, and serve!
The Upside Down Cakes are offered in a variety of flavors including, Amber Honey Apple Spice – topped with apple slices and drenched with sweet amber honey glaze, Double Chocolate Molten – prepared with real butter, eggs, milk, and the finest semi-sweet chocolate, and German Chocolate Fudge – with the classy irresisitible combination of gooey caramel, pecan, and coconut.
The Private Selection brand is a premium private label exclusively carried exclusively at Kroger, Baker’s, Dillons, Fry’s, Ralphs, and Fred Meyer, and other Kroger affiliated stores.

I’m a traditional gal. I love to go home for the holidays and get that down home cooking that I grew up tasting. One of my favorite dishes that is always at the dessert table is my Granny Anne’s Lemon Cake. I honestly can’t remember a holiday meal without it! Isn’t dessert the best part of the meal anyway? 😉
Today I took my first crack at making her Lemon Cake recipe and I sure hope I made her proud.
Tonight we had a family game night inspired by the Avengers movie. My kids are HUGE superhero fans so they were very excited for the occasion. As an extra treat I decided to bake an Avengers themed cake. I picked up the items I needed at the store and headed home to bake!
What you will need to make an Avengers Captain America Shield Cake:
Eggs, oil & water
1 large bowl
Blue and Red Glitter Icing
1 can of Vanilla Frosting
2 round cake pans
1 star cookie cutter
Captain America shield (or picture for reference)
This amazing simple dessert recipe is inspired by my Step Mom who has just returned from a 2 week European cruise. She couldn’t get enough of their English cookies and created this recipe to continue the experience. The No Bake English Cookie Recipe only calls for five ingredients and takes a matter of just a few minutes to complete.
