During the D23 Expo in California last month, we had a surprise appearance by the girls of the galaxy – Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff! Both play kick-butt females in the hit Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. With the movie releasing on DVD & Blu-ray August 22nd, it was the perfect opportunity to sit down with the ladies to discuss life on set, and joining the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 cast.

D23 Expo shared a plethora of information about Disney and what’s to come for moviegoers over the next few years. One special panel was dedicated to “The Lion King,” which was hosted by producer Don Hahn and included surprise appearances by voice cast favorites Ernie Sabella (Pumbaa), Jim Cummings (hyena Ed), and Whoopi Goldberg (Shenzi). With the earlier announcement of The Lion King live-action film in the works, the special D23 Expo Lion King Panel seemed perfectly suited for the occasion.

If you’re looking for a fun, new show to watch with your family, you’ll want to tune in tonight for ABC’s “The Toy Box”. With a “Shark Tank” vibe, innovative ideas, comedic moments, and loads of entertainment, this show is undoubtedly going to be a huge hit! As a mom, I’m always looking for family shows that I can watch with my kids. I love that “The Toy Box” airs on Friday nights, or as we call family night. After dinner, we can settle in with popcorn or our favorite dessert, and tune into the new show.

The newest Marvel movie – Doctor Strange – is written and directed by Scott Derrickson. During my press trip for the film I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with him. I learned about some of the most important aspects of the movie, from the underlying message to how Scott used the groovy 60’s for his writing inspiration. Playing Dr. Christine Palmer in Doctor Strange, she is a highly skilled trauma surgeon, who is not only Dr. Strange’s colleague but a friend as well. Recently I was invited to interview the cast of Doctor Strange which hits theaters November 4th. Being a huge fan of Marvel movies I was thrilled to learn more about the upcoming film from none other than Doctor Strange himself Benedict Cumberbatch. He was very charming and easy going.
