Valentine’s Kid Food Craft – Banana Boat

Looking for a super easy food craft idea for the kids? All you need is a few ingredients and about 10 minutes. First grab some bananas and whip cream, along with any fruit toppings of your choice. We chose blueberries and strawberries for our banana boat.

Banana boat ingredients

Next cut a very thin layer off the bottom of the banana so it lays flat without rolling on the plate. Using a spoon create a groove on the top of the banana for the fruit to sit atop.

Once you’ve cut the fruit in small pieces the kids can have fun creating their banana boats.

The craft was simple and fun, plus delicious to eat! And anytime I can get the kids excited about eating healthy is a plus!

My lil man couldn’t be more excited with his banana boat masterpiece! Too bad Mommy’s camera flash was not interested in cooperating.

That’s adorable! and an appropriate size – not too huge! I still remember my first banana sundae when I was teeny, I wanted it very much, my dad was hesitant, I still remember how sick I felt trying to eat 3 scoops with whipped cream and toppings! This is perfect!
