Last week I left you wondering if Nutrisystem Fast5 worked for me. Well, I am happy to say that it did. I lost 7 pounds. I stayed strong the entire week and did not cheat, which is a triumph in itself (especially when Jen and the boys baked some of my favorite kind of cookies).
This is a partnered post with Nutrisystem. All opinions are my own and may differ from yours.
The first day was the hardest for me because I did not space out my meals very well and I did not add vegetables until I got home from work. I learned quickly that it is a must to space out the meals because if you don’t, you will feel like a zombie. My body was used to taking in over 2,800 calories a day, so to cut it down to around 1,100 was a little rough. I did learn to appreciate every bite.
Normally eating would have been a competition for me to eat as much as I could as fast as possible. This week I gained an appreciation to slow down and enjoy what I ate and to take smaller bites. Being that the portion sizes are not what I am used to, I tried to eat as slowly as possible and I feel that this really helped me to feel fuller throughout the day.
Nutrisystem Fast5 Weight Loss Program
My favorite food so far is the Thick Crust Pizza. I really like that it was never frozen and that you put it together yourself. The crust is really good and it provides the necessary carbohydrates that I crave. It tastes so fresh too.
I also enjoyed the chocolate shakes. I put them in the freezer for about 15 minutes to make them really cold, and to me it enhanced the chocolaty goodness in them. Well, until next week! I’ll share details about my transition to the Nutrisystem my way weight loss program.
Thank you for all of your positive comments they really provided me with the motivation I needed to start my weight loss journey. 40 pounds to go!

Congrats. Sounds like you are getting great results. I love the idea of putting the shakes in the freezer – I had never thought to do that, but I am definitely going to have to try it now.

Way to go! I think that the hardest part to losing weight is the food. You can exercise until you pass out, but your body will always show what you’re putting onto your plate. I am glad that the food from this program works for you, and I look forward to seeing what you do next! Congrats again

Congrats, Nate! I lived on the pizzas during my time on Nutrisystem. And yes, proper spacing out of the meals is important. If you do salads, you can get creative and add in your Smart Fuel (or whatever they call them now…it’s been a couple years for me!) and then you won’t feel like you are eating all of the time.
