If you’ve caught any of my Instagram posts recently, you may have noticed all the beautiful smoothie bowls I’ve been making this summer. They are really easy and fun to make! I promise you they look so cool that even the kids won’t turn their nose up at eating this healthy breakfast. This latest one is inspired by my favorite Disney princess, Ariel. Check out this Mermaid Smoothie Bowl recipe below!
Mermaid Smoothie Bowl Recipe
As I mentioned above, this smoothie bowl is inspired by The Little Mermaid so I pulled in colors like purple and green which represent Ariel’s typical outfit before she becomes a human, of course. Isn’t it gorgeous? The whole point of a smoothie bowl is to mix ingredients like you would for a typical smoothie, but add toppings so it feels more like a decadent dessert – except it’s all wholesome ingredients!
Here’s what you need to make this smoothie bowl recipe:
- 1 ½ cup frozen blueberries
- 1 banana + half banana, cut into slices
- 1 cup milk (your choice)
- 2 tbsp honey
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt
- Slices of dried kiwi
- 2 tbsp slivered almonds
Yields: 1-2 servings
Add frozen blueberries, 1 banana, milk, honey, and Greek yogurt in a blender. Blend until smooth and pour into a bowl.
Top with dried kiwi, slivered almonds, and banana slices. You’re ready to enjoy in less than 5 minutes!
