One thing you may not know about me is that I love fast cars, in particular I’m a big mustang fan. My car enthusiast side became tamed once marriage and a family came into the picture, however this past weekend I had the opportunity to experience my first NASCAR race at the Daytona 500. Keep reading for details on the Walgreens Balance Financial Prepaid Mastercard and its benefits!
Talk about fun!! I forgot just how loud a revved engine could be, so thank goodness Nate and I came prepared with ear plugs. The Daytona 500 was a really cool experience, and although rain dampered our fun, we still made the best of it. The before show with Larry the Cable Guy and Luke Bryan performing was awesome. There’s also so much to do on site before the big race. There were a ton of people there, and many arrived hours before the race began.

Just before it rained on our parade (literally) I snapped pictures of the current leaderboard with #11 Danny Hamlin in first place, followed by #41 Kurt Busch and #27 Paul Menard in third. We had great seats (just after turn 4) with almost a full view of the track.
Earlier in the day we had an opportunity to walk around the grounds and participate in free activities. I spotted this beauty – a Mustang GT. Walgreens Balance Financial Prepaid MasterCard is giving fans the opportunity to win one in their #RaceAroundAmerica Sweepstakes (no longer open for entries).

Nascar Driver Greg Biffle Interview:
I had an opportunity to interview Greg Biffle via phone this evening and wanted to fill you in on my Q&A with him.

Here’s the 5 questions I asked him:What is the most exciting thing about Race Around America for you? GB: We love driving cars. I just took the mustang for a spin here at Arizona Motorsport on a closed course. When making a pit stop at Walgreens, what three items are you most likely to purchase with your Balance Financial Prepaid MasterCard? GB: I always fill my prescriptions there, bathroom items because it’s quick and convenient, and any medical items like bandages. (He mentioned he currently has a brace on his wrist) Do you have any advice for what the fans should vote for to make the mustang go as fast as possible? GB: Definitely the supercharger. If you want it to go fast, it needs a good supercharger kit, and bigger breaks. Which racetrack is your favorite to race on? GB: Michigan – it’s big, fast, and it’s great for strategy. If you weren’t a racecar driver what career would you have taken up? GB: Well I’ve been all about cars since high school. I was building them and learned how to weld back then. But I have always been interested in Real Estate so maybe something with that.
I appreciate Greg Biffle taking time out of his busy schedule to chat with me for a few minutes. And thank you to my readers who suggested some of the questions I asked him during the interview!
