1st Grade Math Activity Cards
The new Think Tank 1st grade measurement & geometry learning resource helps students to creatively visualize objects in various positions and different perspectives using visual, spatial, reasoning, and thinking skills. Separated into 12 categories, each one includes 20 math problems and answer keys.
Each category becomes progressively more challenging as students move through the Think Tank. This box works well for independent students or those working in pairs. The box also includes a student progress chart, which is helpful too.
Other Think Tank boxes are available for students in 2nd-6th grade as well. Learn more about Think Tank here.
As the summer is winding down, we thought it was a perfect opportunity to test the boys with the new Think Tank activity cards. Our boys worked together to solve math problems from different levels. Once we were through the Steady Starters and Brain Busters categories the boys asked to keep going. Our youngest son, L, surprised his older brother with his math knowledge by correcting him on one of the problems. (I caught that funny picture below)
We are excited for the new school year, and to use Think Tank measurement and geometric thinking cards as an added resource for our homeschooling math.
