Our little guy began showing signs he was interested in potty training a few months before his second birthday. We continued to watch for signs and just before the age of two, we felt confident he was ready. It’s taken a few months, but he has progressed at his own pace and we couldn’t ask for much more than that. I love seeing him grow more confident, and over the last month, he’s hardly had any accidents.
One of the rewards we found helpful was giving our son his own potty chair. He was so excited when the Summer Infant Hippo Tales Potty box arrived. He noticed the playful hippo on the front and began playing with the “try me” potty buttons before I could even open the box.

About the Summer Infant Potty
This 3-in-1 potty offers a stand-alone, detachable trainer seat, and stepstool option. What I really appreciate is the softcover storybook and interactive panel. The panel offers a “read the storybook” option for your child, and a “hip hop hooray” as a rewarding cheer after your child has successfully used the potty.
The potty is not only adorable but fun for my son. It keeps him entertained and encouraged during the potty training process. The best option for us is using the Hippo Tales potty as a detachable trainer seat, that way there’s no additional transitioning to the big potty. We also use it as a stepstool for washing his hands and when he brushes his teeth.
Right now the Summer Infant Hippo Tales Potty retails on amazon.com for just $19.98, at the time of this review. What a bargain for so many useful items in one! Are you potty training your child? Then, I have some great news for you, Summer Infant is also sponsoring a giveaway!
