I remember often when my parents would surprise us kids with a dozen donuts for weekend breakfasts. While donuts are a fun treat, they are not the healthiest breakfast choice. Instead, I opted to make my family these homemade strawberry lemonade donuts made with protein powder and less sugar. They taste just as amazing too! Read on to grab this protein donuts recipe below.
Strawberry Lemonade Protein Donuts Recipe

Strawberry Lemonade Donuts
Ingredients
For the donuts:
1 cup vanilla Premier Protein powder
1 tbsp strawberry gelatin
1 tbsp lemon zest
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup warm milk
3 1/2 tbsp melted butter
2 eggs
For the glaze:
1 ½ Cup sugar
¼ Cup water
3 Tbsp soft cream cheese
1 Lemon juiced

Premier Protein Whey Powder, Vanilla Milkshake, 3 Pound
Directions
Preheat the oven up to 350F.
In a bowl, combine the protein powder, strawberry gelatin, lemon zest, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, stir together the milk, butter, and eggs.
Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, just until mixed.
Prepare a donut baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Fill each hole of the pan with the batter.
Transfer to the oven and bake for 12 minutes or remove when the edges start to brown.
Set aside for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
For the glaze
In a bowl mix the sugar, cream cheese, lemon juice, and water. Stir until smooth.
Pour the mix into a piping bag and decorate the donuts.
Serve and enjoy.
