Universal Orlando Resort Holidays
All theme park holiday entertainment is included as part of any holiday pass, two-park or multi-day admission to Universal Orlando Resort and Islands of Adventure.
All-new at Hogsmeade™ and Diagon Alley™
For the first time at Universal Orlando Resort, Christmas is coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Guests will be surrounded by uniquely themed decor, garlands and lights as they walk the streets of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. They will also enjoy special holiday themed food and performances by the Frog Choir and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees. And as night falls – state-of-the-art projection mapping and lighting will wrap Hogwarts castle, bringing incredible moments inspired by the Harry Potter series to life.
The Hogwarts Castle show begins at dusk (approximately 6:10pm) and runs every 20 minutes until park closing. I suggest arriving at the castle 20-30 minutes early to find a good spot for viewing. The first show is very crowded, so you’ll have better luck coming to a later show. It runs just 8 minutes long. Check out this glimpse of the projection show in our Hogwarts Castle video below.
Guests will watch the Grinch’s heart grow three sizes during a live retelling of Dr. Seuss’s holiday classic in the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular” and join the merry Whos from Who-ville as they celebrate the true meaning of the season. Arrive early for seating – it’s worth the wait! The show will definitely get you in the festive mood. Additionally, guests can enjoy a festive breakfast with the Grinch and his friends on select dates (for an additional price).
Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s
Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s will raise the bar for holiday entertainment at Universal Orlando. The parade includes:
- 15 intricately-detailed floats themed to popular characters from Illumination’s Despicable Me and Minions and DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar and Shrek, along with iconic holiday elements like snowflakes, toys and more.
- 16 larger-than-life balloons – 13 of them created exclusively for Universal by Macy’s, the global leader in balloon entertainment – including Bob from Illumination’s Minions; the Dronkeys and Gingy from DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek; and a special gift that DreamWorks’ King Julien from Madagascar has gifted to…himself!
- More than 100 colorful, choreographed holiday performers and characters – from merry elves and toy soldiers to the world of Shrek with the three blind mice and Big Bad Wolf.
- An incredible display of holiday lights, an all-new musical score…and even snow!
Grab a map upon entering the park to find out the times of the parade, then grab a spot early to see this entertaining show! The kids will love seeing all of their favorite characters float by.
Enjoy the all-new Universal Orlando Resort holidays celebration now through January 6th! More details here.
