We headed back to our local Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen a few weeks ago to taste-test their new fall menu items. Cheddar’s has transformed some of their most popular dishes including their hand-breaded chicken tenders which they sell more than 30 million annually. Yes, that is A LOT of chicken! Here are some of our favorites from the new Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen menu!

New! Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen Menu Items
First, we have to point out these Croissants drizzled with house-whipped honey butter are addicting! I don’t know how we missed trying these our first time around, but we sure made up for it this time! 😉 The boys gobbled them right up.
Onto the New Cheddars Menu Items!
We sampled – and what I mean by sampled is full-on courses of their new dishes. Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen is known for their scratch-made dishes that are generously portioned. Two people can easily order one (or both of these) and have plenty to take home for leftovers!
First up is Cheddar’s Blackened Salmon & Shrimp topped with mango salsa over a bed of white rice. You can choose between grilled or hand-battered fried shrimp. The dish includes two sides which my husband ordered broccoli and mashed potatoes. My little guy could not understand why we wouldn’t allow him to order his own dish – until it came out. He then realized there was plenty for dad to share with him!
Next up, we sampled Cheddar’s Chicken Tender Parmesan with panko-breaded tenders over a large bed of spaghetti and marinara. You guys – this is a show stopper! It’s insanely delicious and under $10!

If you have room for dessert, you want to try these brand new Mini Cakes!
- Cheddar’s Painkiller Mini Cake: Homemade sweet coconut cake filled with a Pusser’s Rum-Butter sauce and topped with whipped cream, freshly toasted coconut and a cherry.
- Chocolate Mini Cake: Homemade, gooey chocolate cake filled with fresh raspberry preserves, drizzled with house-made chocolate fudge, then topped with whipped cream and a cherry.
Cheddar’s Painkiller is its best-selling cocktail with more than 1 million sold annually, so it’s no surprise that their mini cake version is going to be a huge hit with guests!
By the way, all of the new Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen Menu items are permanent additions!

We have a Cheddar’s restaurant nearby, but we’ve never been because I thought they just served burgers. These new items look fabulous. Our family will need to try it soon. 🙂

Oh my gosh everything looks so delicious. I gotta say the Croissants drizzled with house-whipped honey butter wouldn’t last long at our table. The Blackened Salmon and Shrimp would be my first order. That looks wonderful.
