Do you remember the #Hexbug craze last holiday season? If you have a son, nephew, or grandson you may have heard of them. Now they are back (and in my opinion) better than ever! The all-new Hexbug #NanoV2 bugs can climb vertically, horizontally, around corners, through loops and tubes! #theycanclimb
We were lucky enough to receive a party pack filled with Nano V2 hexbugs and multiple playsets, including:
The boys giggled for almost 2 hours with non-stop entertainment. They loved that the Hexbug sets were combinable for even bigger fun! We combined the Nano V2 Hurricanes, Barrel Roll, and Sky Max sets together, shown above and below. The sets reminded me of an ant farm, but with bugs you could control.
These creepy crawly bugs are straight out of a sci-fi world and have a vibrating effect that helps them climb and maneuver through the playset with ease. We noticed that if you had too many bugs going at the same time, it could sometimes cause a traffic jam in the tubes. It was pretty easy to disconnect and reconnect the tubes to clear up the traffic jam though. Hexbugs come in a variety of colors and include an attachable tube that you can connect to a playset or additional single tubes.
No party is complete without a fun game right? While the boys were busy playing, I hid multiple bugs around the park pavilion and then sent the boys on a hunt. Aaron was the lucky winner and scored a HEXBUG Nano V2 Hurricane Set of his very own!
The Hexbug sets range in price from $15-$50, and include one Hexbug in the box. I definitely suggest adding this to your holiday list for any child who loves interactive play. Follow Hexbug on Facebook and Twitter for all of their latest news!
