A big thanks to Just Porter for partnering for today’s post! All opinions are my own.
Did you know that almost 80% percent of all backpacks are made by just two companies? If your backpack experiences have been anything like mine you might want to consider something different, like Just Porter backpacks.
The company founder, Chris Bahr, was doing humanitarian work in the Philippines when an idea inspired him to create the company. When you buy a bag from Just Porter they donate a filled backpack full of school supplies to children in need. Just think about that for a second…because you bought a hip next-generation bag from Just Porter, a community in need is hired, school supplies are delivered to a needy school, and children are educated because of that.
That really hits home for me because for most of my career I have worked with students from poverty. Check out Just Porter’s video to learn more.
Most of the backpacks that I have used in the past lack quality for two reasons:
- The material is cheap and holes develop in the bottom of the bag from setting it down over time.
- The zippers break, so you are left trying to fix it every time you zip too far.
Just Porter sells 5 styles of unique backpacks designed for your life. This review is going to focus on the Streeter College Commuter Laptop Backpack in weatherproof grey.
This backpack has tons of storage space. I was able to not only fit in my laptop and iPad, but load it up with 6 textbooks, which would be great for any working professional, or college student on the go. The fact that it has a non-phthalate tough waterproof 1000D military grade tarpaulin exterior makes this bag durable through the roughest weather. You can rest assure that your tech is safe in this military grade backpack. Like I mentioned before, the bag is pretty large and capable of supporting quite a bit of items like headphones, books, and many tech items.
The coolest feature is the rare Earth magnetic buckles that make closing the backpack super easy. All you have to do is get the buckles close and they latch themselves.
The backpack has a clean design that holds up to a 17 laptop. It has multiple storage spaces inside for pens, pencils, business cards, a calculator, or a cell phone. The only thing that I would suggest adding to the bag is a water bottle holder on the side.
So if you are in the market for a quality bag then head to justporter.org to checkout their innovative designs! When you purchase you will not only get a great product, but you will also be helping children in need.
