Do you remember the nostalgia of finding a toy in your cereal box? Growing up, that was something my brother and I always looked forward to. I recently came upon my collection of figures from cereal boxes and fast food kids meals that I accumulated as a child. The boys had quite a field day looking at my old memorabilia. It’s pretty neat how trends circle back around. Apparently mommy is cool because the boys recognized several of my toys. 😉
Both of my boys are bursting with excitement for the latest Minions movie to release next month. My youngest son, L, is quite the Minions fan. He has everything from bed sheets to swimming trunks and socks that are Minion themed. Whenever we’re grocery shopping and he spots a Minion on a box, he’s got to have it. Speaking of boxes, General Mills has teamed up with Universal for the release of their Minions movie by offering Minion toys in their cereal boxes!
We found the family size General Mills cereal located on the breakfast cereal aisle. Walmart is offering #The7thMinion exclusively in their stores. So, if you’re a collector who wants to get all 7 Minions, you need to visit Walmart to do so!
Look for the Minions movie packaging on the following cereals:
- Honey Nut Cheerios
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- Lucky Charms
- Reese’s Puffs
- Cocoa Puffs
- Golden Grahams
Once home, the boys couldn’t wait to find out what Minion toy was in their cereal box. Thankfully, both boys scored the same Minion toy, so there wasn’t any fighting!
I think the boys faces say it all. They are pretty stoked for the Minions movie opening in theaters July 10th, and to collect the Minions toys in General Mills cereal. By the way, all seven toys connect to one another too!
