Imagine you and your significant other board a plane and head to Paris for a whirlwind romantic vacation! Well, imagine no more because that is totally possible with Cost Plus World Market’s latest #SummerinParis Sweepstakes! My husband and I were lucky enough to do just that several years ago. On our 1st anniversary, my husband surprised me with a trip to Paris and Venice. It was an amazing adventure and really expanded my interest in travel.
In celebration of the Summer In Paris Sweepstakes, I created a Parisian Fruit Crepes recipe that you can enjoy at home too! First, I visited my favorite store, World Market, and grabbed a few items I would need for the breakfast recipe.
Here’s what you’ll need for the Fruit Crepe Recipes
World Market had practically everything I needed, including crepe mix, toppings, a mixing bowl, and an 8″ pan so I can make perfectly rounded crepes!
Fruit Crepe Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 cup of crepe mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups of water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (if desired)
- 2 tbsp butter
- fruit/fruit jam
- toppings like caramel sauce or chocolate sauce
Instructions
In a mixing bowl combine 1 cup of crepe mix, 2 eggs, 1 1/4 cups of water, and 1 tsp vanilla extract and whisk together. The batter should be thin.
Preheat a skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with butter. Pour the batter onto the skillet using 1/4 cup for each crepe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so the batter forms an 8-inch circle.
Cook approximately 1 minute on each side or until lightly browned.
Next spread a generous amount of fruit or fruit jam in the center of the crepe, fold, add desired toppings, and serve.
By My Boys and Their Toys
Below you can see I chose sliced bananas for my fruit, then folded and drizzled with caramel sauce. I then added some confectioners sugar and it was ready to enjoy.
My husband wanted a strawberry crepe so I spread a generous amount of strawberry Jam on the crepe, folded it, and added chocolate hazelnut sauce (found at World Market too), and a bit of confectioners sugar. After breakfast, he shared that this was the most delicious food I had ever made him!
We have enjoyed crepes for several mornings now switching up our fruit and toppings. It’s been a lot of fun, and really delicious too!

I’ve made something similar to this. Crepe (thinned out complete pancake mix), peanut butter, grilled banana, whipped topping and topped (decorated) with chocolate or caramel syrup, more whipped topping, mini chocolate chips, crushed peanuts….the possibilities are endless.

I think crepes are the most difficult things to make! Thin pancakes just don’t work for me. I like eating them though. These look so perfectly delicious!
