Another product that caught my eye at the Atlanta EdExpo was Junior Learning’s Touchtronic game. These award-winning learning apps for kids combine the physical and digital worlds into one. Perfect for classroom or home use, Touchtronic Letters and Numbers provide preschool and early education students hands-on learning. The apps are free to download for iPad users in the App Store.
I received a product in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are mine alone.
Touchtronic Letters
While we are a tech loving family, our youngest son prefers a physical approach to learning. Touchtronic learning games really speak to him. The Touchtronic Letters package includes all 26 letters of the alphabet; consonants are in blue while the vowels are in red, making it easier for kids to differentiate the letters. It also includes a handy blue pouch for easy storage.
This simple approach to teaching helps children learn their letters, sounds and build simple words. The Touchtronic ABC’s App provides 3 games in 1: Mystery Door, Letter Bubbles, Word Machine. The app rewards children for progress made throughout the app, making learning exciting.
Below L is playing Word Machine where he places a missing letter on the iPad screen to complete a word. I like that the letters are fairly large on the screen and include a picture that corresponds with the word. Once he completes that word the machine scrambles the letters and creates a new word puzzle for him to complete.
He also enjoys playing Letter Bubbles where it displays 3 recognizable items and he finds the correct letter each word begins with so he can pop the bubble.
I’m really impressed with the engagement and learning adventure that Touchtronic’s provides. This is really helping L with his phonics learning. Because we are focusing on reading, we have not begun the Touchtronic Numbers just yet. I can only imagine how successful that program will be once we switch gears. However, I did want to include details about Touchtronic Numbers.
Touchtronic Numbers
Touchtronic Numbers introduces children to numbers, counting, matching and simple sums. It includes numbers 0-9 and 6 equation symbols. The numbers are color-coded in purple while the equations are in orange. This set also includes a handy blue bag for easy storage.
The corresponding app, TouchTronic 123’s, is free to download from the App Store. The app includes 3 games: Counting Train, Value Handcar and Grain Factory Sum.
If you are looking for preschool education at its best – I recommend checking out Junior Learning Touchtronic Letters and Numbers games. You can find their products at JuniorLearning.com or amazon.com.
