Dreamworks Trollhunters on Netflix – Season 2

The highly anticipated season 2 of Dreamworks Trollhunters is officially on Netflix! Season 2 is already nominated for 6 Annie Awards as well! While in LA earlier this month, I had the opportunity to sit down with three of the show creators at Dreamworks Animation Studios. They are pumped for the new season and excited for the release of Trollhunters on Netflix. Hear more about the new season, plus information on the Tales of Arcadia trilogy. Dreamworks Season 2 of Trollhunters on Netflix

In Part 2 of the epic saga DreamWorks Trollhunters, ordinary teen-turned-Trollhunter Jim Lake Jr. faces new challenges in his continued battle to protect his hometown of Arcadia and the fantastical Troll world he inherited. Jim’s risky decision to enter the Darklands unearths startling discoveries, forcing him and his friends to face gripping consequences as they race to end the battle against evil. Part 2 of Trollhunters on Netflix features new voices Mark Hamill, Lena Headey and David Bradley, who join Kelsey Grammer in his Emmy-winning role as Blinky, Steven Yeun (Steve), Anjelica Huston (Queen Ursurna), Jonathan Hyde (Strickler), Amy Landecker (Barbara) and Charlie Saxton (Toby).  The late Anton Yelchin, who completed recording through Part 2, voices the lead role of Jim Lake, Jr. DreamWorks Trollhunters is created and executive produced by Guillermo del Toro. The creators discussed how season 2 allows all of the characters to stand on their own, especially Claire. More girl power, yes! They also honed in on the purposeful (s) in the show title; Trollhunters, and how it’s not just about one Trollhunter, but many. Trollhunters Tales of Arcadia Trilogy:

On the surface, Arcadia appears to be a slice of timeless Americana, but it is no ordinary town. It lies at the center of magical and mystical lines that will make it a nexus for many battles among otherworldly creatures including trolls, aliens and wizards. DreamWorks Trollhunters, the first installment in the Tales of Arcadia trilogy, will be followed by two additional series 3 Below in 2018 and a final chapter Wizards set to debut in 2019. 3 Below will focus on two royal teenage aliens and their bodyguard who flee a surprise takeover of their home planet by an evil dictator and crash land in Arcadia. Now on the run from intergalactic bounty hunters, they struggle to blend in and adapt to the bizarre world of high school all the while attempting to repair their ship so they can return and defend their home planet. Wizards brings together the three disparate worlds of trolls, aliens and wizards who have found themselves drawn to Arcadia. The final chapter of the Tales of Arcadia culminates in an apocalyptic battle for the control of magic that will ultimately determine the fate of these supernatural worlds that have now converged. Dreamworks Trollhunters Part 2 is now streaming on Netflix!
