Def Leppard & Journey Concert Review

Relive the 80’s with two of the world’s greatest rock bands! Def Leppard and Journey put on an outstanding show at the Tampa Amalie Arena last weekend. It just so happened that their concert landed on my birthday, so it was a really great night out for my husband and me! There wasn’t an empty seat in the house that night.

Joe Elliot, lead singer for Def Leppard shouted to the crowd that this was the largest crowd they’d performed for yet on this year’s tour! The show opened with Def Leppard singing “Give Me All Of Your Lovin” followed by other classic fan favorites like “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” “Love Bites,” and more!

I’m totally showing my age here, but I grew up in the 80’s and we spent a lot of time on the road traveling between south Florida and Orlando visiting family. I have some of the best memories rockin’ out in the car to bands like Journey and Def Leppard, among other greats. I’ve never seen either band in concert so this was a real treat to see them both!

The lights, pictures, and performances were outstanding! We had the best time! Journey’s Arnel Pineda took over for frontman Steve Perry years ago and was a pretty close replica to his sound. They played fan favorites like “Don’t Stop Believin,” “Separate Ways,” “Open Arms,” and more.
