It is the middle of August and football season is just around the corner. Here at the Hay house we have teamed up with Tudor Games to welcome the coming of football by reviewing their Red Zone Electric Football tabletop game. Being a child of the 80’s this game brought back some distant memories of what is was like before gaming systems such Nintendo and PlayStation.
My sons had a blast putting the players on the field and cranking up the dial to watch them vibrate all over the place. The tabletop game is designed for children 8 years and up, but being that J is pretty advanced and a sports fanatic, he loved lining the players up and trying to make a touchdown.
I was impressed by the amount of strategy involved in playing electric football. You can have the dial turned low so the players go slow, or you can speed up the game to get a player open. It definitely takes skill to get good at.I would highly recommend reading all the directions, so you know how to set up the player’s cleats, get them in the right position, and how to make sure that your offense and defense are going in the right direction, and at the right angle.
Electric Football games have been around since the late 40’s and a trademark for generations. In the fall Tudor Games will be releasing their line of NFL Licensed Electric Football Games with all 32 NFL team logos at ToysRUs.com, Dicks.com, Amazon.com, and Target.com.
