Hotel Dining
There are multiple dining options to choose from at Universal Cabana Bay Resort. Find everything from Starbucks to Bayliner Diner which is a food court style eating space with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Don’t feel like dining out? Delizioso Pizza will deliver to your room. Just press the pizza button on your hotel phone.
Cabana Bay Pools
Cabana Bay offers two swimming pools: the Cabana Courtyard and Lazy River Courtyard. Both have zero entry pools with their own unique style. The Cabana Courtyard has an iconic dive tower and cool water slide, while the other pool has a lazy river with waterfalls and you can either bring your own floats or purchase them right there at the pool. Our room was located near the Lazy River Courtyard pool so we spent the majority of our outdoor time there. My sons loved the sandy beach area with ping pong tables and oversized games, and the DJ with cool activities like a scavenger hunt around the pool.
Both pools have loads of lounge seating, but you can also rent private cabanas at the Cabana Courtyard pool which include a TV, WiFi, fan, fridge and safe. And if you’re feeling hungry, no need to go indoors, both pools have an outdoor bar and grill with a variety of foods like sandwiches, salads, and pizza. At night each pool features dive-in movies too!
Shopping
Forgot something or want a souvenir to take home? The onsite Universal Orlando Resort Store is full of a variety of items from t-shirts to books to candy. And if you’re a pin collector, definitely stop in to see what unique pins that have in store.
Another convenience is the Universal Orlando Attractions Ticket Center located in the lobby. You can pick up your Volcano Bay tickets you pre-purchased online right at the counter!
Indoor Activities
Dine and bowl at Galaxy Bowl inside Cabana Bay Beach Resort! This unique 10 lane bowling alley has large TV screens and at night the lights go down and the lanes glow. It’s a fun time for the whole family! You can also dine at the restaurant inside, or right at your bowling lane.
Love games? Head to Game-O-Rama to challenge your skill and expertise at the video game arcade – including some retro ones!
Character Experiences
We just happened to be passing through the lobby when we spotted Marilyn Monroe! Okay maybe it wasn’t the real Marilyn, but she was a fabulous look-a-like. My little guy had no idea who she was, but that’s okay mommy did and snapped this sweet pic. And be on the lookout for other fun characters roaming through the resort like Minions. What a nice treat for hotel guests to get up close with unique characters without the wait!
Volcano Bay Early Access
Cabana Bay has it’s own entrance to Volcano Bay. With a short walk (approximately 5 minutes) you can be at Volcano Bay’s special security entrance. It’s super convenient! Valid theme park admission is required.
