If you are an avid follower of the blog then you know we are movie geeks. We enjoy watching movies weekly, especially as a family. What’s really fun is when you come across a movie you enjoyed as a child and now have that opportunity to experience it through your child’s eyes. Recently Disney released five Disney movies on Blu-ray:
- The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
- Bedknobs and Broomsticks
- Hercules
- Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers
- Tarzan
This first Disney film that was released was not one my husband and I recognized. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad dates back to a 1949 release date- wow! How incredible that Disney was able to bring this movie up-to-date to share with a new generation. From the writers of “Cinderella,” “Alice and Wonderland,” and “Sleeping Beauty,” comes the animated musical feature The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. The film is composed of two unforgettable classics, “The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow” and “The Wind In The Willows.”
The film is quite fun to watch. In classic Disney form, we enjoyed the music in the film. Here’s a song clip for your enjoyment:
Bedknobs and Broomsticks stars Disney legends Angela Lansbury (think Murder She Wrote) and David Tomlinson. From the writer and director of Mary Poppins, the movie brings adventure for the whole family. Oh to take a ride on a flying bed – every kids dream!
Hercules is a definite favorite in this house full of boys. This animated classic comes from the creators of “Aladdin” and “The Little Mermaid” (my all-time favorite Disney princess movie). The legendary film is packed with colossal laughs and adventure! Here’s a song clip from the movie:
I’m a fan of all things Mickey Mouse so Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers was one of my favorites from the five classics released. This Blu-ray special edition celebrates the 10th anniversary of the film. This heartwarming film is “all for fun and fun for all.”
Another favorite for the boys is Disney’s Tarzan. Our first thought about the film is all the incredible music from Phil Collins. His 1999 “You’ll Be in My Heart” song won an Academy Award. Enjoy this Disney classic on Blu-ray for the first time ever. It’s a wonderful, wild adventure for all! Check out this song clip from the film:
All five Disney Movie Classics have released on Blu-ray and are available at stores nationwide. Find Tarzan, Hercules, and others at amazon.com as well.
