A few weeks ago I shared an exciting opportunity here in Orlando. Hyatt Regency Orlando was offering their very first Wellness Weekend. The luxury wellness retreat offered a day price or overnight option at the hotel. Couples, friends, and family signed up for this limited space event to enjoy fitness classes, interactive culinary demonstrations and dining experiences. The Wellness Weekend did not disappoint!
More on the Hyatt Regency Orlando Wellness Weekend
Upon arrival that morning we began our day with a quick group activity and Mission: fit Possible overview, while sipping on delicious juice shooters. I brought along my best friend, Crystal, for a fun girls weekend. After the morning event, we had a few minutes to check into our room at Hyatt Regency Orlando. The hotel and room were simply stunning!
Next, we met up with the group for an hour-long Yoga Flow class with Ann Hymes, yoga instructor at The Spa. That was exactly what this girl needed: calmness of the mind and body. The yoga class was fantastic!

Next, we walked over to the Fiorenzo Italian Steakhouse that’s on hotel property. We had an opportunity to speak with Megan Ware, R.D, a nutritionist, during lunch. Her number one nutrition tip was CPF (complex carbs, lean proteins, healthy fat), and provided handouts for us to take home. Executive chef Larry Eells invited us into his kitchen for a lunch and learn session. We watched him prepare our lunch – Paella Valencia.
After a long break, we regrouped in the Hyatt Fitness Center for one of three fitness class choices. Crystal and I selected Pure Barre. This popular class was a first for both of us. The fast paced hour-long energizing class helps women effectively tone and burn fat in record-breaking time. It 100% kicked my butt – and Crystal’s too! Heck – I think the whole class had the same feeling. It was a fantastic workout and I definitely felt it later – and I work out regularly! The Pure Barre exercises worked different muscles than I use in my other workout routines. I definitely recommend giving this class a try for anyone considering a new workout routine. Look out for a giveaway (Orlando locations only) on our Facebook page soon!
We freshened up and made our way to the on site Urban Tide restaurant for a cocktail demonstration and chef’s table dinner.
Check our dinner menu – amazing! Everything was beautifully crafted and delicious. Chef Jared Gross described each dish in detail and even snapped a pic with Crystal.
After a restful night’s sleep we headed to The Spa for a day of pampering. Included with our overnight package was 1 massage or facial. We both enjoyed a 50 minute organic facial. The products they used smelled of fresh fruits like strawberries and cucumber. It was so refreshing and relaxing. In addition to the facial, we were able to slip into robes and enjoy one of the 3 private hot tubs in the spa area, use the spa shower facilities and then check out our at leisure.

Hyatt Regency Orlando outdid themselves with this amazing event! I am looking forward to another Wellness Weekend and this time I’ll be taking my husband for a fun getaway. Hyatt is working out the details, but plans to have their next event this summer.

What a fantastic themed weekend to attend! I’d be all over it, especially as a girl’s weekend. Although, with a little arm twisting my husband might be convinced.
Crystal says
Oh my goodness, that looks fun! I would love to get away with my sisters & the wellness weekend theme is perfect for us.
