My husband and I had a rockin’ time at Universal Orlando’s Rock the Universe. This event is fun for all ages. We saw families, small groups, and lots of large youth groups all excited to be at the event. The weather tried to ruin our night from the start with a heavy rain and thunderstorm, but it passed, and many were having fun even in the rain!
We were able to catch a couple of songs by Love and the Outcome (they sounded great) before heading over to Transformers: The Ride. While waiting in line there was about a 20 minute technical glitch, but it was worth the wait! We checked out a few more attractions like Shrek 4D and Twister while waiting for the next concert.
Family Force 5 had a good-sized and enthusiastic crowd.
We soon headed over to the main stage to catch tobyMac so we could get good spots. It was pretty crowded already 30 minutes before he started. When he started singing the area was packed with an energetic crowd singing and jumping with the music. Everywhere I looked I saw happy faces that were thrilled to be there watching this performance. TobyMac and Diverse City sounded really great live.
We wandered around for a bit, and then came back to another large crowd to see Switchfoot. They rocked it out up on stage. This year’s line-up for Rock the Universe was tops, and a marvelous time was had by everyone that I saw.
