The holidays can be a crazy time, but they’re also a really special time where we’re building lasting memories. Between the kids’ cookie-induced sugar highs, and crowded malls, there’s no lack of amusing memories to be made. Sprout calls these experiences “Holiday MOMents.”
This year, I changed things up and sort of took a laid back approach to the holiday season. It’s very unlike me, but it’s been a nice change from the craziness. In past years, I’ve done the overnight Black Friday rush, including Wal-Mart while pregnant, very pregnant! Nuts, right? However, this year I shopped online from home in my pj’s, and at my leisure. I’ve actually yet to step into a mall since before Thanksgiving! Go me!
However, I can not say the same for my job as a blogger. These last few months have been non-stop BUSY! And I’m grateful for the work that the holiday season brings, but I’m definitely looking forward to a low-key January.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, we spent Turkey Day at my mom’s this year where I didn’t have to do much of anything. I helped decorate the tables, but all the cooking is mom’s “thing”. She doesn’t want help. She loves to cook and prepare this special meal for her family of about 20 people who visit each year.
During dinner I snapped photos of the family, including this one of my little guy demanding that mommy and daddy sit at the kids table with him and his brother. He was saying, “dad sit right here” as I snapped the photo.
At Sprout, they are celebrating all of the Holiday MOMents – the funny, the outrageous, the sweet and priceless. This was my funny #SproutMOMent. Plus it really was more fun at the kids table! 😉
Want to create your own Sprout Holiday MOMent? Take a look around at Sprout and then create your own. It takes just a few seconds to create, and is quite a lot of fun. I’d love to hear your Holiday MOMents, so share them below!
