This post was created in partnership with Fellowes. All opinions are my own.
According to Javelin Strategy & Research, there was one incident of identity fraud every three seconds in 2012. That’s a pretty substantial number. These criminals are even going after the identities of children. Working in the school system we have many documents which contain student information from student test scores, id numbers, birth dates, home addresses, and so on. It is very important to make sure that paperwork is disposed of properly.
Since it is a requirement at my school to shred any document with a student’s name on it I decided to team up with Fellowes and review their Powershred 73Ci. On the box it reads, “The World’s Toughest Shedders.” I would like to add the safest shredder as well. I have had my fair share of shredders in my classroom and I am very impressed by the Powershred 73Ci. Not only does it cut the paper vertically, but it also shreds it horizontally, which destroys up to 12 sheets of paper into 397 particles.
