Happy Friday! Who’s ready for a refreshing cocktail to begin the weekend? Check out this tasty Strawberry Rhubarb Shandy recipe! Don’t worry – I have alternative if you prefer a non-alcoholic version. Either way this drink is perfect for cooling off during the summer heat.
“If you could bottle up the perfect day…what would it look like” is the inspiration behind Kenny Chesney‘s collection of premium-blended rums.
Blue Chair Bay Rum was created by the singer-songwriter who wanted to encapsulate his idea of the perfect day on the water. Heart, passion, fun, islands, and friends are the keywords used when describing his collection of rum. Blue Chair Bay Rum includes three flavors – white, spiced coconut or coconut.
Happy New Year’s Eve!! Do you have any special plans tonight? We will be spending ours at home with family this year. That’s right – no crazy parties, just some yummy BBQ, family, and a toast to the New Year with this delicious cocktail.
I wanted to take a look back at my 2013 New Year’s Resolutions and see how I fared. It’s important to hold myself accountable, right? 🙂
Goal #1 was to workout at least twice a week. Ummmm. Yea I didn’t. I did for awhile, but that tapered off.
Goal #2 was to continue to reduce our footprint and I succeeded at that. Hooray! We donated monthly, recycled like crazy, swapped out our shower head for a greener one, unplugged when possible, and switched to a Soda Stream.
Goal #3 was to save money. We did that successfully and continue to do so.
Goal #4 is partly complete. I wanted to buy a new home, however we did not get our home on the market until November. So the process has begun, but we are waiting for our home to sell before moving onto a new home.
Goal #5 was a professional goal of growing my blog. And I am so happy with the results. I have doubled in readers and visitors from last year’s stats and am very thankful for that. More readers = more opportunities for both my readers and myself.
So what’s in mind for 2014? Here are my resolutions for the New Year: [Read more…]
The kids are tucked into bed, hubby is working late, and I have an overload of my favorite meatballs in the slow cooker….so what’s a girl to do? Invite over a few girlfriends for a girl’s night in and a #Motherfunny good time!
Every girl needs some downtime from mommy hood, and what better way than with a few cocktails with friends. Between planning a garage sale, packing the house up (to put up for sale), baseball games 2x a week, staying home with a rowdy 2 year old all week, church and other social events, life has been anything but calm around here. I was SO glad a few friends could stop by.
