I’m a Restaurant.com Review Crew Ambassador! All opinions are mine alone.
Do you often visit non-chain restaurants when dining out? Why or why not? When a customer supports a local business often times it comes with many benefits, including improving the local economy, feeling a sense of community, and often times better customer service.
The next time you’re looking for restaurants in the area, consider using Restaurant.com as your search engine. Many times their site includes local companies looking to drum up business by offering food deals. This allows you to save money, while trying out a new place. When using Restaurant.com, you can search by cuisine, city, price, and more. They also have reviews you can view from previous customers who have dined there, which I find very helpful.
Recently, the boys and I went to a local pub to have lunch. The prices were reasonable and the service was outstanding. When our food arrived, it included a deviled egg. My 7 year old was so happy – he loves them! Our server noticed his excitement and returned shortly with a few extra to take with us. I thought that was a really unique side dish to include, and nice gesture as well.
Support Local Businesses:
- Improve local economy. Many times, when a consumer buys local more of that money stays in the community. In turn helping feed local families who work at that place of business. That’s a win-win for everyone.
- A sense of community. Do you know the person behind the counter at your local store, or server at the chain restaurant you frequent? While some may say yes, more will say no because we’ve lost that sense of community. Choosing a local business allows you to get to know the owner, employees, and have a personal connection.
- Better customer service. Often times, that local business wants to keep your business. You won’t have to chase a big corporation if an issue arises. When you support a local business, you get a better level of service.
