It’s no surprise that today’s economy has many people down on their luck. So when an opportunity fell in my lap to team up with Standlee Hay I jumped at the chance. Both my Grandmother and Aunt have had horses for as far back as I can remember. As a child I enjoyed many weekend rides on one of my Grandmother’s horses named “Joe”. He was a mild-tempered, beautiful white horse, who has since passed away.
Through my family I became aware of a horse rescue that was in desperate need of supplies. With Standlee Hay Company’s help I was able to donate several supplies for their rescue horses.
The trip to Tractor Supply (a retailer who carries Standlee products) included 2 bags of beet pulp, 4 bags of alfalfa pellets, and 2 compressed bales of alfalfa hay.
With those supplies the horse rescue owner was able to feed Dallas, a 17-year-old appendix gelding who is on a special diet, which included the beet pulp and alfalfa hay.
Standlee mentions this about their beet pulp:
These pellets are an excellent source of digestible fiber, with relatively low crude protein content. Beet pulp pellets are great for horses known as hard keepers or other animals that need to gain weight.
She was also able to feed Armand, and 8-year-old bay mustang gelding, and 2 additional mares.
The horse rescue owner, and her horses loved the Standlee Hay Company products, especially the beet pulp and alfalfa pellets.
Standlee Hay is dedicated in growing, producing and manufacturing the highest quality forage products available in today’s industry. They offer a variety of products in addition to the ones mentioned today including whole oats, grass cubes, horse treats, and more.

Disclosure: Standlee Hay provided a promotional item to purchase their products. No additional compensation was received.
