Spotlight Stories Buggy Night is a first-of-its-kind interactive storytelling experience.
Just last week I received my Android device: a Moto X smartphone for the opportunity to be one of the first to experience #buggynight. Spotlight Stories, created by Google-owned Advanced Technologies and Projects group (ATAP), was built with the help of Oscar-winning former PIXAR animators and children’s book illustrators. The imagination of this team is incredible! Just look at the adorable package that my phone and accessories arrived in.
In anticipation of Buggy Night, my 3 year old and I enjoyed Spotlight Stories first release: Windy Day.
Users are taken on a 360-degree animated adventure they control just by moving the Android smartphone around. If you have not seen Windy Day yet, I highly recommend following this adorable mouse along his journey. My little one was fascinated with the discovery and exploration of the story. It was entertaining for both him and I.
Spotlight Stories Buggy Night is now available on Android devices. This new Spotlight Story transforms you into a detective on the case with just a flashlight and a frog in Caldecott-winning illustrator Jon Klassen’s forest. At first glance, we love #buggynight! It’s so interactive and my little guy couldn’t stop laughing. I like the sneaky frog. 🙂
Look out for an upcoming post about our full experience, and if you have an Android phone, be sure to follow along with us!
Have you experienced Windy Day or Buggy Night? What were your thoughts?
