Now that we’ve settled into our new home, our favorite place to hang out as a family is on our large back porch. The boys play in the backyard, while Nate and I fire up the grill and sit back and enjoy the good life. There’s a variety of great meals that can be cooked on the grill, including pizza!
During our latest shopping trip we picked up some Jack’s Pizzas, which even mentions “great for grilling” right on the packaging. Plus the price can’t be beat!
Simple dinner solution: Grilled Pizza
Because we like to include the boys in the dinner process, we let them pick out some of their favorite toppings to add to the pizza. We ended up with ingredients for our own version of a Hawaiin style pizza.
I chopped up some ham, mushrooms and pineapple, then let the boys go to town constructing our grilled pizza. They like to play an app where they create their own pizzas, but this time it was the real deal. J and L had so much fun being apart of the process, and I appreciated how seamless dinner was.
I even caught J snacking on the pineapple during the creation process. Yea, I get it buddy – all that work makes you hungry. 😉
Once the boys were done, Nate added some additional shredded cheese, then we grilled the pizza on the lowest setting for approximately 18 minutes. Easy peasy! Take a look at how it turned out.
How did our grilled pizza taste? The whole family loved it! #MyGoodLife moment was spending quality time with the family, while making a simple meal everyone enjoyed.
Thanks #CollectiveBias and Jack’s for helping us share our summertime grilling idea with all of you. See, grilling can be way more fun than hotdogs or hamburgers. Cooking tip: for best results cook Jack’s pizza on a gas grill. For more grilling tips, head to Jack’s® Pizza on Facebook.
