I received a complimentary ticket and hotel stay in exchange for coverage of the Wow Summit. All opinions are mine alone.
Last month I had the opportunity to go to the WOW Summit near Disney. I attend quite a bit of blog conferences, but have never taken part in a conference focusing solely on inspiring moms. There were many enjoyable workshops for growth including Finding Personal Balance, Label Reading 101, Restoring Mealtime Sanity, and Screen Safety.
The WOW Summit kicked off with a fun Luau inspired cocktail party at the Caribe Royale pool. The hotel offers an on-site convention center, so we had the opportunity to stay and play all at the same location. The cocktail hour allowed us attendees to meet and greet with a fun game, plus enjoy some delicious foods like fajitas, fruit, and even a chocolate dipping station. Yum!
The #WOWSummit began the following morning with opening keynote speakers, followed by a chat with Traci Paige Johnson, the creator of Blues Clues! Yes – that Blues Clues from Nick Jr! She gave us a sneak peek at some new shows she’s working on, including App Patrol.
After that I headed to the Exhibit Hall to meet and greet with the sponsors of the conference. Speaking of sponsors, these do-good companies include Zevia, a natural zero calorie soda company that offers over 15 different flavors. Let me tell you, these drinks were delicious! Zero calories, natural, and great tasting = a trifecta of goodness! Solgar, a natural nutritional supplement company. We received sample packs of their U-Cubes gummy vitamins for kids. The boys love them! SweetLeaf Stevia® Sweetener is naturally delicious sweetness for the whole family—no sugar, no artificial ingredients, and no bitter aftertaste. They have over 20 flavors of Liquid Sweet Drops you can add to water, baked goods and much more. FluNada Cold & Flu Relief offers a throat and nasal spray designed to keep families healthy through the use of safe and natural ingredients. We’re currently in cold and flu season and already using these great products to tackle our symptoms!
Other sponsors in the exhibit hall included National Geographic Kids, Applegate Farms, Kiwi Shop and Nuk, among others. It was a great opportunity to chat with representatives about their products, and sample them too!
As I mentioned above, the workshops were really hands on and full of mind-blowing information. This conference definitely provides tools for moms to lead healthier lives.
One of the highlights of the WOW Summit was the comedy hour with Karen Bergreen, who is a nationally recognized standup comic, you may recognize her from segments on “Nick Moms” and “Comedy Central.” She was SO funny and quite the comedy roaster! She even picked on me for being one of those braggy moms. I don’t deny it – my boys are my world and I love talking about them. 😉 LOL!
Overall, the WOW Summit was a great success! It was fun and educational. I’m definitely implementing some of what I learned into our lives already. Oh and the goody bags – how could I forget mentioning those? We received a small bag upon arrival and a HUGE bag at the conclusion of the conference. It was full of goodies from all the sponsors.
Moms Meet is already working on next years WOW Summit so keep your eyes peeled for more details. It will be held the first weekend in November, just like this year.
