Medieval Times takes guests back in time to the 11th century, where Medieval Spain comes to life. This family friendly dinner show can sure get a crowd going with their epic battles and jousting tournament. With ringside seats in six sections, each representing a particular knight, guests cheer on their favorite knight and hope he wins the ultimate battle against the invader, The Herald of the North.
Did you know that a tour of the Medieval Village is included with your ticket purchase? The Kissimmee Castle, located just outside of Orlando is Medieval Times first in North America. They are celebrating their 30th year! The authentic eight cottage village gives guests a glimpse into the life of medieval royalty. The village includes a kitchen, blacksmith, barn, and more, with many original pieces from that time period.
This was our second visit to Medieval Times Dinner Show as a family, and the boys had an absolute blast. Our visit happened to fall on the week J turned six and his only request was to return to Medieval Times and see the knights joust. He’s ALL boy and gets really pumped up during sporting events, and this dinner show gives you that same feeling. There’s also wonderful choreographed pieces with the horses, like the one below where he’s leaping high into the air. I recommend ducking when the falcon makes his appearance. He’s quite daring!
While being entertained by the six Knights of the Realm guests dine on an authentic feast – no utensils included! The serving portions are huge for both adults and children so don’t feel obligated to complete your meal. They do offer to-go boxes. Although the food is really good so you may have a hard time stopping. 🙂
While the knight for our section did not win this time, we still had a really great time cheering him on. The battles are intense and exciting! I highly recommend visiting the Medieval Times castle in Orlando. We can’t wait to return!
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament has several locations including Florida, Georgia, California, Illinois and even Canada to name a few. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone. Head to their website for additional information about each castle.
