Have you ever posed the question to yourself, “what am I born to do?” I have definitely asked myself a few times throughout my life. I remember wanting to be a teacher when I was in elementary school (instead I married one). Later in life, I found myself dreaming big – I wanted to be an actress and model. While I dabbled in that career for a few years, I never had enough courage to head West and pursue it full time. Eventually, I found my path: being a mom and writer. I honestly couldn’t be happier. I’m my own boss….and I have two of the coolest kids around!
Speaking of kids, last month I shared an amazing campaign I was selected to be apart of. I’m one of 39 MoDSquad bloggers where we each represent 1 week of a healthy pregnancy. I’m really honored to be apart of such a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness for babies.
March of Dimes knows that every baby is born to do something special. And they are celebrating you, all the wonderful moms and dads, for all their efforts to keep babies healthy and safe. From April to June, when you shop at participating retailers a portion of those sales will benefit the March of Dimes. Last year, March of Dimes efforts helped 90,000 families with a baby in intensive care and through the NICU Family Support.
So how can you help….check out imbornto.com for a list of partners and their special offers when shopping for mom or dad this season. Save on retailers like A&E Jewelers, Mudpie and Kmart. A new retailer who’s come on board for Father’s Day is Blue Rhino, America’s #1 brand of propane exchange – perfect for all those grill masters!
So tell me, what were you born to do? Are you doing it?
