Next, breaking news!
Thank you to Warner Bros for the review item.
I love superheroes! Growing up Christopher Reeve was my Superman. I was so excited when my mom bought me my first pair of Superman pajamas. I would put them on under my Sunday best and after the sermon I would slowly unbutton my shirt to show everyone the bright red and yellow pentagon with an ever so amazing “S” in the middle. I was Superman, flying through my church pretending to protect the innocent. You could imagine the look on my mother’s face. 🙂
Even as an adult I still love Superheroes. How cool would it be to have superpowers? If I could have one superhero ability, it would be the ability to fly. I have family all over the United States, and plane tickets aren’t getting any cheaper, man I wish I could fly… Anyway, because of my love for superheroes I have imparted this on to my two little boys. One of our routines every Saturday and Sunday morning is to watch cartoons, and one of our favorite cartoons is, Young Justice.
Audiences worldwide are fastening their seatbelts as “Disney’s Planes” prepares to take off this summer. Inspired by the world of “Cars” and directed by Disneytoon Studios veteran and aviation enthusiast Klay Hall (“King of the Hill,” “The Simpsons”), “Disney’s Planes” is an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure about Dusty’s dream of competing as a high-flying air racer—and his decidedly unfortunate fear of heights. The film takes off in theaters in 3D on Aug. 9, 2013.

Who wants to win a trip to the premiere of Iron Man 3 in LA next month???! This family! What a dream come true that would be!
Iron Man 3 hits theaters in just a few short months.
Check out these just released Iron Man 3 posters!
Here’s the line-up of Disney movie releases for 2013. My favorite princess movie of all time, “The Little Mermaid” is coming back to theaters, and my boys will be thrilled to hear they are making a Thor movie! We’re looking forward to catching many of these in the new year.
Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.
May 3: IRON MAN 3 (Marvel Studios)-
My son Brayden has wanted a sequel to Monsters Inc since the moment he watched it. He’s 7 now, but it is one of the few Disney Pixar movies he still watches every time it’s on. I have to share the exciting news that they are releasing “Monsters University” the summer of 2013. We are so very excited! Check out the sneak peek trailer they just released. You can’t help but find yourself giggling at Mike and Sulley.

Mark your calendars for BRAVE in theaters this Friday, June 22nd.
School’s out, now what? Regal Cinemas, Edwards and United Artists theaters offer an amazing summer deal for parents and kids alike. Their Summer Movie Express is a 9-week festival that runs every Tuesday and Wednesday morning at 10 am. They offer PG and G rated movies for only one dollar! This a great way to get the kids out of the house and beat the summer heat.
Simply click the link above, enter your zip code and locate a participating movie theater location. I strongly advise getting to the movies early. Because this is such an inexpensive way to keep the kids entertained over the summer the theater is bound to fill up quickly. My local theater caters to small daycare groups so we always arrive 20 minutes ahead of time and usually do not encounter an issue finding seats.
So climb aboard the Summer Movie Express and enjoy some great movies!
