We were invited as media to attend a pre-screening of the movie. No additional compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
We are huge fans of superheroes in my household and when we got the chance to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier we were super excited (no pun intended). Growing up I owned hundreds of comic books, but never really got into Captain America and the Avengers, but with Marvel bringing the Avengers to the big screen and with prequels such as Iron Man, Thor, and Captain American I am now sold.
The new installment of Captain America, in my opinion, was better than the first. This film stands on its own in the Marvel universe and really delves into Steve Rodgers, aka Captain America, and his adjustment to life in the 21st century. It also introduces a new superhero to the Marvel big screen, the Falcon aka Sam Wilson. The addition of the Falcon was probably my favorite part of the movie. He brings humor and some amazing action sequences with his flying suit. The Russo Brothers also allow us to better understand the mysterious Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff.
The film appeals to all audiences. If you are a superhero fan and enjoy nonstop action, then this has it all from major explosions to hand to hand battle. If you like twists and turns or a little mystery you won’t be disappointed. If you are a drama lover this film does tug at your heart-strings with flashbacks from Caps past. All and all it is a great movie and seeing it in the theaters is a must, but make sure that you stay until the very end of the credits because it has two bonus scenes to whet your appetite for the next installment that Marvel has to offer.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier released in theaters Friday, April 4th. More fun news – Captain America 3 has a release date- May 6th, 2016!

I think I’d like all the action for sure. I used to hate that stuff but my ex and my son always liked it so it grew on me.

With the house full of boys, I had to give-in, but I’m glad I did. I love several of the Marvel films, this one especially!
