If you follow the blog on Facebook then I’m sure you caught a post or two about my #AveenoDailyChallenge. As an Aveeno Ambassador, they invited me to take on the 3 week challenge to a healthier self, both inside and out.
My personal goal for the #AveenoDailyChallenge was to DE-stress. Now more than ever things are chaotic around here between the home sale and impending move. With this challenge I have realized just how little time I carve out for myself, so it was nice to have a little push from Aveeno to stop and take time for ME.
My #AveenoDailyChallenge Results:
So did I rock the challenge? My answer is sort of. One part of my goal was to take 30 minutes a day to myself. When I really reflected on my schedule I realized just how little time I took relaxing. Between taking care of our boys, managing the home, finances, and a full-time job as a blogger, I was spending all my “free” time working. So, I carved out 30 minutes of my day for the first week and spent time reading, relaxing, catching up with friends, or watching a favorite show without interruption (which is really hard to do with kids around).
I was hoping to make a routine of it, but I got pulled back into work overload & house stuff and got off track. As week three rolled around I was reminding myself of the challenge and goals I set for myself and got back in the game.
The second part of my goal was to use AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Lotion made with natural ingredients to keep my skin looking healthy and smooth. That part of the challenge was successful and something I look forward to continuing.
As the challenge comes to an end I’ve learned the importance of taking care of myself and really want to continue that effort in carving out “me time” each day. I’m going to push through the guilt of taking time for myself because I want to stay healthy for my boys.
How do you de-stress? Do you have a hard time taking “me time” like I do?

I do have a hard time taking time for myself. Right now I am trying to catch up on sooooo much. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and know that there will be some serious destressing soon.

LOL when we are Mothers and bloggers do we ever get free time? LOL! I will draw a hot epsom salt bath and have a glass of wine when the kiddos are finally sleeping. Its the only time I get to myself!

That’s what I’m saying Stephanie! So hard to find time, but I’m working on it. 🙂

I used to set an alarm on my phone every day to remind me to stop what I was doing for me. And of course sadly the alarm got turned off and hasn’t been turned back on in a long time.

I have an alarm on my phone too! 🙂

I love to relax on the weekend with my family to de-stress. That could be hiking, sitting around a bonfire or just spending time together around the yard. I find that incredibly relaxing.

There are days when I am convinced that my free time shows up when I fall asleep. I really have to make the effort to take me time, and I am always grateful, and recharged when I do so.

I have tried to add a me time, but then something else has to give. It just doesn’t happen at my house.
