I know I am not alone in this statement: my husband’s drawers have to go! I’m not sure why men choose to keep old drawers when they clearly belong in the trash, but they do. I recently said enough is enough and we headed to the store to purchase some new ones for him. Thankfully my husband was a willing participant in upgrading his drawers.
My good friend Joleen decided to write a book about her journey through the NICU with her former 1lb 3 oz micro preemie daughter, Laken. Being a mom myself and now knowing someone who actually published a book, I just had to get my hands on 98 Days and I am so lucky that I did. What an amazing story! Having two children of my own, I found myself crying, laughing, gasping for air and then relieved while I read this book. I was trying to imagine what those moments would have been like. Delivering your baby at only 6 months and then having to leave her in the care of others while you were sent home. I found myself in awe.
We recently visited SeaWorld’s all new water park, Aquatica. The day started out beautiful, but like many days in Florida rain came and went throughout our day, however we made the best of it. We were at a water park after all!
The park has several areas you can find seating at, and plenty of shade as well. Many of their lounge chairs offer umbrellas without an additional cost. You can purchase private cabanas as well. We chose a section near Walkabout Waters, which is for families with younger children.
In our home dinner time is the most important part of the day. It’s a time when all four of us sit down together (with no distractions) to talk about our day, while enjoying a great meal. On Fridays we mix it up by having a family game night after our dinner.
On my latest shopping trip to Wal-Mart I noticed a Dip Dip Hooray sign featuring Tyson Chicken Nuggets, Ore-Ida French Fries and Heinz Ketchup. This was a perfect meal solution for our busy week, plus it’s kid-friendly.
The Avengers is coming! The Avengers is coming! This should come as no surprise (seeing as my blog screams Super Hero) that we are so excited for the release of the movie, The Avengers. There’s
hardly never a day that goes by without the kids playing with their superhero action figure toys. Baby boy is on an Iron Man kick at the moment and even wants him in the bathroom while we are potty training!
Last night we had a blast at our Marvel Avengers themed family fun night . In preparation for the occasion the boys and I headed to the store after downloading the Avengers Augmented Reality App that can be played exclusively at Wal-Mart stores. By using your iPhone/iPad you can find The Avengers App Trigger Points throughout the store and watch how the app interacts with the signage.
