I was invited as media to cover this event. All opinions are my own.
Spill it! What’s your nightmare babysitting job you had growing up? We’ve all had at least one, right? I loved babysitting for my neighbors kids and successfully did that for many years. However, one summer I picked up a second gig watching two elementary school aged boys. One was sweet as could be, and the other….well let’s just say he wasn’t. 😉 Actually he was quite the daredevil. I think it was a cry for attention, but he enjoyed sneaking out of the house and I’d find him running in the middle of the street, or when at the pool he would do every crazy jump to make my heart jump out of my chest. Once he began a new habit of hitting the babysitter – I was done.
While no babysitters were harmed in this new Disney Channel Original Movie, there is quite the adventure! Your whole family will enjoy this new film.
About “Adventures in Babysitting”
“Adventures in Babysitting” brings together two unlikely friends when a tedious evening for contentious babysitters, Jenny Parker (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lola Perez (Sofia Carson), turns into an exciting journey in the big city. One of the kids has snuck away! The story unfolds when Jenny and Lola, two girls with distinctly different personalities, both interview for the same internship. Lola’s first attempt at babysitting takes an unforeseen turn after Jenny discovers what Lola has done. This unexpected and exciting adventure is a must-see on Disney Channel this summer!
Sabrina Carpenter plays the responsible and dependable “Jenny Parker.” She’s an overachiever and focused on getting good grades. She is the neighborhood’s go-to babysitter.
Your kids will most likely recognize her as the BFF (Maya) in Disney Channel’s “Girl Meets World”. She’s also a talented singer/songwriter who recently debuted her single “Smoke and Fire.”
Sofia Carson stars as “Lola Perez,” the spunky free-spirited teen with a passion for art and photography. The first-time babysitter is in over her head when the eldest child sneaks out to a concert, and she must venture into the city to find him.
Carson is best known for her role as Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen, in the smash-hit Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendants.” She is also a dedicated singer/songwriter who just released her debut single “Love is the Name.”
Look for an upcoming post with my full review of the film (yes I’ve seen it already!) and Q&A with Sabrina and Sofia. The Disney Channel Original Movie “Adventures in Babysitting” premieres June 24!

I never had a bad babysitting gig but my daughter did. She was watching two brothers who teamed up and tried to smother her. She never went back.

My worst nightmare was when I was an adult. My oldest son had a friend that was always on medication for being ADHD. I always invited him to go with us on day trips when I would take vacation time. I found out over a year later that his parents did not give him his medications so they could save the money because I was so kind and patient. He was a sweet boy but man was he a handful! This show is going to be comical!
