I was recently asked by The J.M. Smucker Company to create some unique tips for using a new product and I wanted to share that with all of you.
As summer is coming to a close, there are still a few things left on our checklist to complete. We promised the boys a day at the bowling alley, play date at the park, and swimming party with friends. With only 2 weeks left until school begins here, we’re working some serious magic to make all of those fun things happen.
Did summer break fly by for you too? I am trying my best to savor these moments with the boys, as both will be in school this year. Yes, my littlest guy is 4 and beginning Pre-K. That’s going to be a tough first day, and I’m not talking about L, I’m talking about me! Can any of you moms relate?
Okay, setting that moment aside…there are 2 weeks left of summer! With our park play date in mind, we headed to Walmart – our Snackation Destination!
While there, we picked up some of the boys favorite items – Smuckers Uncrustables, Jif To Go Dippers, pretzel sticks, blueberries and string cheese. These are perfect snacks for on the run, like we’ll be doing until the end of summer.
I’ll let you in on my secret. To make a trip to the store a little more enticing for the boys, I hand them each a small list with a few items they are responsible for finding. It’s like hide and seek, but with products – not each other, which would totally be the alternative! By including them in the shopping process things go more smoothly, and they feel good about helping.
The boys selected which variety of Jif To Go Dippers they wanted – creamy peanut butter (my personal favorite). They also chose both strawberry and grape Uncrustables for our adventure. Oh and the string cheese had to be the mixed cheese.
Now that snacks are checked off the list, we just need to invite some friends and enjoy the day! Next week I’ll be sharing the fun food creation I made with these yummy snack items, so stay tuned. 🙂
