Tahiti Village Resort & Spa – Las Vegas

Our Vegas experience would not be complete without great hotel accommodations. I was lucky enough to win a week-long stay at the Tahiti Village Resort & Spa, making our trip really affordable! The resort is gorgeous and relaxing. It is conveniently located less than 3 miles from the heart of the strip.

Tahiti Village Resort & Spa sits on 20+ acres and offers 876 suites divided among 3 towers. The grounds show no signs of being in the Las Vegas desert, instead you are surrounded by lush greens, a beautiful zero entry beach pool, and relaxing lazy river. The kids will have a blast making sand castles while you catch some rays. The heated lazy river with tubes included is a great time!

Tahiti Village offers three room styles including the Moorea, Bora Bora, and Royal Tahitian. Our room accommodations were in the Moorea, the smallest of the rooms offering a king bed in a private bedroom, queen sofa bed in the living room, and kitchenette with granite counter tops, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker.

The Top 25 Free Things to do in Las Vegas

During our recent trip to Vegas we learned there are many free activities to do on and off the Strip. Here is a compilation of the top free things to do in Vegas:

1. Mirage Volcano-Known as an iconic strip feature, the redesigned volcano features more fireworks and state-of-the-art sound system. Erupting nightly. Every hour from dusk-11pm at the Mirage Hotel & Casino.

2. See the world’s largest golden nugget at the Golden Nugget near Fremont Street.

3. KC Twins Dueling Pianos-A fun-filled, wacky laugh fest karaoke party at the Piano Bar. See identical twins Kim and Tamara perform. Piano Bar at Harrah’s Las Vegas, 9pm nightly.

4. Fountains of Bellagio-Featuring amazing musical and water displays, this spot is a must-stop for anyone walking the Strip.

We’re Headed to Vegas! #GogobotTravel

My husband and I are headed to Vegas in the next few weeks to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary! Neither of us have been to Sin City before, however we expect nothing short of a really great time.

While planning for our trip I used a travel guide site call gogobot, ”a social travel site that launched in 2010, and is a place on the web you should know about. The company has racked up accolades including being named one of Time’s top sites of 2011 and winner of the 2010 Crunchie award for Best Design.”

I started out by searching for top hotels in Las Vegas.

Gogo Kidz Travelmate Review

As a family who loves to travel we enjoy taking the kids along with us. We see the world as a wonderful teaching tool and feel kids can learn so much from other cities, countries and cultures. However when kids are added to the picture it can more than double the traveling load. In years past my husband would juggle most of the luggage while carrying our childs car seat on his head (upside down). I would drag a stroller, our child and diaper bag along with any other personal belongings through the airport and we’d look like one big mess.

With our upcoming summer travel plans in mind I began the hunt to locate something that would help us lighten the load. I came across gogo Kidz Travelmate which allows you to easily mount your childs car seat to a wheeled attachment so instead of carrying the car seat and child, you can wheel them right along with your luggage. This was exactly what we needed!
