Happy New Year’s Eve!! Do you have any special plans tonight? We will be spending ours at home with family this year. That’s right – no crazy parties, just some yummy BBQ, family, and a toast to the New Year with this delicious cocktail.
I wanted to take a look back at my 2013 New Year’s Resolutions and see how I fared. It’s important to hold myself accountable, right?
Goal #1 was to workout at least twice a week. Ummmm. Yea I didn’t. I did for awhile, but that tapered off.
Goal #2 was to continue to reduce our footprint and I succeeded at that. Hooray! We donated monthly, recycled like crazy, swapped out our shower head for a greener one, unplugged when possible, and switched to a Soda Stream.
Goal #3 was to save money. We did that successfully and continue to do so.
Goal #4 is partly complete. I wanted to buy a new home, however we did not get our home on the market until November. So the process has begun, but we are waiting for our home to sell before moving onto a new home.
Goal #5 was a professional goal of growing my blog. And I am so happy with the results. I have doubled in readers and visitors from last year’s stats and am very thankful for that. More readers = more opportunities for both my readers and myself.
So what’s in mind for 2014? Here are my resolutions for the New Year:
- Sell our home and move into a new one. Fingers and toes and everything else is crossed that 2014 is our year!
- Balance life better. I put a lot into the blog this year and it paid off, but I was burnt out by mid October and still had so much on my calendar to complete for the holiday madness. I also realized that my boys are growing up so fast and I needed to remember why I chose to stay home, and that’s to spend more time with them. So finding that perfect balance is definitely a must for this year.
- Grow my blog even more. If I doubled in 2013, I can do it in 2014 right? That’s my hope! But I will keep #2’s goal in mind when doing so.
Okay, now it’s your turn. What are your 2014 New Year’s Resolutions?
Wishing you a safe and Happy New Year’s! Cheers!
