Both of our boys love books. Our oldest (who’s almost 5) has read on a 2nd grade level all year. And he’s not slowing down! He loves online phonic programs, plus enjoys reading stories to us every night before bed. I caught him reading a story to his brother this morning and just had to share.

Gavin loves reading to Sawyer and all my boys are big readers. It’s such a great thing. What online program does he like?
readingeggs.com & abcmouse
He would be all them all day if I let him. LOL
My eldest DD reads at an advanced level as well…and hasn’t stopped. She’s now 8 and just read the 1st Harry Potter book in less than a week.
So sweet!
As a teacher this just melts my heart
That’s so great! I wasn’t a big reader as kid but I’m so glad my nephew is. It’s so important to love books and to read.
This is too cute! May he forever have a love for the written word
I’m sure that just warms your mama heart good!
That’s awesome! My 5 yr old can read, but it’s a struggle to get him to drop the Legos to do it!
That’s cute! I’ve always loved reading. My mom has so many pictures of me when I was little, asleep on my bed with a pile of books
That’s really great to see a child take a love of reading and express it so openly! And to share that wealth with his brother is just sweet! I loved to read when I was younger! I just devoured book after book! My English scores always turned out well and I pretty much owe it all to reading everything I could. Your son is off to a great start!
Aw, what a good older brother!
I love this!!!
So sweet.
That is an adorable picture and a wonderful “brother moment.” I have a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old. They both love books and know their alphabet and phonics, but they still just want us to read to them. I can’t wait until they both start to read on their own!
Keep reading those books!
