We Didn’t Win in Vegas, but…..

As many of you know, last month hubby and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary in Vegas. While we didn’t win a big jackpot, or even a small one we came home satisfied with the trip. We were able to visit some amazing hotels, restaurants, and attractions.

We didn’t make a big thing about visiting the casinos, although it’s nearly impossible to avoid them there. They even have slot machines in the airport! Haha! I did slip a few bucks into the slots, but no win. That’s okay though, we were there for the siteseeing. Plus we can always play online games at partybingo.com right in the luxury of our own home.

We caught some cool shows like Michael Jackson Live, which was a really fun show! The Cirque du Soleil Beatles Love performance was quite strange and I don’t recommend seeing it. The best way to describe it was “trippy”. That’s just not our thing.

The hotel we stayed in was awesome and had the weather been warmer, I would’ve been poolside quite a bit. Being a Florida girl, I’m a bit spoiled when it comes to weather. ;)

I was surprised how many free things Las Vegas has to offer. I wrote a whole post about that here, in case you missed it. Some of our favorites were seeing the Bellagio Hotel & Casino fountain show. There’s a video of it on the post by the way. The Mirage Volcano show was another neat experience. Something I wish we had done and didn’t was visiting the Welcome to Las Vegas sign (above) and snapping a picture in front of it.

All and all we had a great time and I think it’s definitely a place worth visiting, at least once! :)

My husbands (and mine by default) first duty station was in Las Vegas. It was really cool for like ten minutes…then one night we were at The Rio and I burst into tears when I realized everyone around me was on vacation and we weren’t!

    Happy Anniversary!

I’ve never been to Vegas but I would really love to go once so that I can say “been there done that” :)

  5. the last time we were in Vegas, I had my biggest win at a machine at the airport!

  6. I live in Vegas & you’re right, gambling is everywhere! Even worse, other stuff that ISN’T gambling is located in the casinos so even though the slots are where they should be, you’re still around them just to go bowling, to see a movie, or to a restaurant! I actually just won $40 today waiting for a movie to start. :P

  7. Sounds like you guys had a great time. As long as you set a gambling limit than it’s great to have a little fun ;-) . We celebrated our 7th anniversary last month too!

  8. My husband is a Vegas know it all so I am never for a loss when we go. But my all time favorite thing was to visit the Gun Store and shoot a 9mm. That was so cool.
