Laser Pegs was one of the hottest toys out this holiday season. We received the Rocket and Butterfly kits, plus a Laser Peg Pendant for review. They arrived just in time for Christmas!
The Rocket Kit building set includes 6 different models in 1. The LED lighted construction includes everything you need to create a toy rocket, artillery cannon, dragonfly, astronaut, Mars Voyager, and flag post. This set retails for just $19.99!
My son was excited about the Laser Peg Pendant, which retails for $7.99 and allows kids to light their favorite Laser Pegs pieces with a small battery-powered unit they wear on their neck.
We opened the Butterfly Kit first which includes 12 models in 1. Some of the models you can build with this kit include an alien, sunflower, gold fish, turtle, dolphin, and more! Each kit offers directions for the main model and additional model instructions can be downloaded from Laser Peg’s site. I appreciate a company that considers the environment so I like that idea! The Butterfly Kit retails for only $29.99.
My husband and 4-year-old took approximately 20 minutes to complete the butterfly model. It was a great interactive project for them, and my son was so excited to see the results, especially when they lit up! He could hardly stand still for the picture. My lil guy asked if he could keep the butterfly on his book shelf as a nite lite and we thought that was a great idea.
The butterfly kit includes a base to place the butterfly on and with the press of a button the model lights up. You can press the button again to get a blinking effect, and a third press puts the blinking on overdrive, a fourth press turns off the LED lights.
Not only are these kits fun and creative, but they are educational toys as well. Some of the benefits of Laser Pegs construction kits are:
