It was time for a change. My four-year old was regressing a bit. He no longer wanted to sleep in his room and fought us at bedtime which was sort of strange. He had moved to his toddler bed when he was two because our new lil guy was on his way so what could it be? After several nights of resistance I sat him down to ask “why” he no longer wanted to sleep in his room. His candid response was that he no longer wanted an Elmo bed and that all the Elmo stuff on his walls HAD to go! He was a big boy!
I told him redecorating sounds fun to me so let’s do it. Now, to get a four-year old to focus on one theme takes some patience. Turning to the internet for guidance became a bit overwhelming too. There was just SO much out there! Thankfully I came across a great site called Wall Slicks that offers a variety of kid friendly ideas and it sounds easy enough….just peel and stick. Not to mention their prices were very reasonable.

My son is loving his updated room and I agree the redesign was needed. Since he is also a big movie lover we added a poster from one of his favorites to make it appear like the cars are going to the movies just like he loves to do.
Applying the Wall Slicks decals was very simple. You simply cut the decals out, remove the backing, place the sticky side of the wall decal on the wall and use the applicator tool to smooth it out, then peel away the top sheet and you’re done! For precise positioning you can tape the wall decal to the wall and use the included spacer dots at the key areas to help you remember where to place the decal. This step can be done after cutting out the decals and before removing the backing.
They not only have great designs for kids, but they also have wall decals for any other room in your home, including their newer line of car wall decals! I love this idea of a headboard wall decal. What a great idea and it looks so real!
And check out this neat tribal car decal. They have a limited number of car decals to choose from and I’d love to see them expand on that section. I know my husband would love a decal of his favorite college or professional sports team.
As if Wall Slicks doesn’t give you enough options, they also have custom design option where you can submit what you’d like to have made and get a quote on your customized decal. What a neat idea!
